As a reaction to the first lecture and to the previous two blog entries I have received several emails. In those emails I'm sensing that some of you find it very hard to escape from the formal world of programming and exercise creativity. Imagination and creativity are important ingredients in any design process and contrary to what some of you believe, it can be exercised and trained. It not something that you are born with and it is not necessarily something that you learn in an art and design school. You can start practicing creativity by believing in impossible things. If you have doubts that you cannot be a good designer then take the advice of the Queen from Alice in Wonderland.
"Alice laughed: 'There's no use trying,' she said; 'one can't believe impossible things.'".
'I daresay you haven't had much practice,' said the Queen. 'When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."
